Program Development

Tinker

Since 2015, more than thirty-five public technical schools (grades 7th to 9th) have participated in the American Embassy Program "Tinker". Tinker is an academic year-long program that teaches students and teachers how to build their own 3D RepRap printer and apply it to a range of Design Thinking based projects in their school and local environment through intensive practical and theoretical workshops. Students and teachers demonstrate new learning in the entire digital manufacturing workflow from ideation to 3D modelling, using free and educational licensed CAD software, to manufacturing with CAM programs, to printing and troubleshooting.
